Place looked run down from the outside but it has a cool vibe and great view from the inside. BBQ is on point. Brisket and St. Louis ribs were delicious. You have to try the bbq fried rice. Fried green tomatoes were not bad. Good attentive, and friendly service from the bartender. I will be back.
Great atmosphere right on the Hudson River. Place came highly recommended and I was glad I made reservations as the place filled up quickly! Loves the rustic atmosphere, friendly staff and quick service. The wings are by far the best I’ve ever had and overall, most of the food was great but some things were just average. Prices are a bit on the higher side. Far from hating the place, definitely will return but 160 dollar bill for 4 adults and a toddler with no booze seemed a bit steep.
I’ve been wanting to hit the Troy location since they opened. Been to the OG location tons of times also to Rochester. Their pork is what I compare other bbq to. Beans are my favorite at any bbq place. They essentially have half a portion of pork in them. Wife had catfish and enjoyed it. I had pork and brisket slider. Wasn’t a fan of brisket. Must have been end of roast. Dry, not barky and NOT burnt ends. Won’t order again. Still my fav bbq joint even if it’s not as gritty as Syracuse. Looking forward to returning.
We were on our road trip hunting for good BBQ, stopped at Troy and was seated by the window looking over the river, I had Baby back ribs, my husband had brisket and we did not disappointed!!! Oh Coleslaw was perfect and chili was excellent (I don't even like chili).
Mediocre food, fast service though, staff were very nice and friendly. Definitely not my go-to place, but a place I would recommend to a person that likes bbq.
