Very nice restaurant in the Scottish border. when they sit on the window, they enjoy the idyllic scenario of the pond with the ducks and swans. the service is amazing with smiling faces all the time. also fast and committed. they have a good eating option with a selection of fish and meat to pizzas and pasta. they have a beautiful deck where they can enjoy their dinner or drink in a beautiful summer evening. highly recommended!

Lovely place. Very comfortable to sit and have coffee and cake. It's also nice seeing the pond from the comfort of the warm cosiness.

If we could give this place six stars, we absolutely would! The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, providing efficient and straightforward service. It's a dog-friendly restaurant in a fantastic location, surrounded by beautiful scenery both inside and out. The highlight, however, was the exceptional quality of the food. Our group of four each ordered something different, and every single meal was outstanding. The presentation was fantastic, and the menu offered a wonderful variety. We traveled 80 miles to visit Galashiels for the day and decided to stop here for Sunday lunch. We would gladly make that 80-mile drive again, purely to dine at Herges on the Loch—it was that enjoyable! For those traveling with dogs, the restaurant is very accommodating, and it's located within a lovely small country park that's perfect for strolling with your pets, complete with well-maintained pathways.
