La Locanda Bistro On Scottsdale Road

Had not been to La Locanda and pleasantly surprised. Generally, quite good mussels and tomato bisque very tasty. Scallop risotto had a strange taste as if the pancetta was a bit gamey. Fruta di Mare excellent sauce and panna cotta was very tasty. Service good and the wait person informed us that there is an extra charge for splitting an order in the kitchen and handed us two plates to split ourselves.

Wait staff,Sam, was most helpful. Restaurant was not busy so we were able to have conversations without yelling. Food was very good. Wine list is small and standardized to common wines. Special of the day was a salmon dish that my wife loved. Gelato dessert was perfect!

Great venue with amazing food and drinks. Try the maple bourbon drink. Like cotten candy.

Excellent Italian food, serving aplant based, also. A rare find. Delicious. Love the music there. Always great service and good experience.

Very disappointed especially based on the prices. The chicken Parmesan was awful. The chicken was rubbery but worse was the sauce. It was supposed to be marinara sauce but it truly looked and tasted like a can of del monte tomato sauce poured on top of the chicken. There was no discernible cheese. The only side was a scoop of mashed potatoes which osso bucco did not complement the dish. Some vegetables would have been nice. Other meals were enjoyed such as the veal chop and the osso bucco. Overall if a different dish was ordered it would have a better review.
