Contribuisci feedbackUnethical. Scam. They trick people to go for their buy one get one free and all they do is raise the price double to $20 for one gyro so innocent bystanders feel they’re getting a deal. HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!! Shameful also how they pitch themselves as a “local” restaurant. They take advantage of those locals. Sad.
For the price, the quality of the food is the best in town, but the service can be lacking. I'm giving 5 stars because the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Let's start with the Gyros: great flavor, well-constructed, consistent quality. The Chicken Shawarma Sandwich is absolutely fantastic. Compared to other local restaurants, Dino's shawarma is in its own league. Even at a mild spiciness level, the flavor is so full and rich, it's what I compare every other shawarma to. Greek fries: you get so much! Other places give you a small takeout container, but Dino's gives a large one, full of fries and loaded up with feta cheese. Their Indian food is great too. We hadn't had it until recently but we made a big order for Thanksgiving and my vocabulary is inadequate to describe the quality of what we received. The Lamb Vindaloo was the best I have had in years; the lamb was cooked to melt-in-my-mouth buttery smooth consistency.l and yet the potatoes remained well-formed and of good texture. The Chicken Tikka Masala was also absolutely fantastic, the sauce was so intricately spiced, again probably the best I've had in years. Their ice cream is delicious, but the amount you get for the price isn't the right value to me. Still worth trying once though, to make up your own mind. All that being said, the service can leave a lot to be desired at times. If you order online for pickup, you will often be told when you arrive that they were out of stock of something you wanted. Also online orders often aren't ready when they should be, I have more than once arrived to pick up an order at the designated time, only to find they haven't even started making it yet. Same with door dash/GrubHub/etc. orders, you aren't going to be happy about the wait. There is a cheat code here though: call them. Yes, I know, talking on the phone sucks and we hate it. However, if you call in an order, you'll find out up front what they might not have in stock and your order will actually be ready when it's supposed to be. You'll still have to go pick it up yourself but there shouldn't be any surprises that way. The service is a little understandable, for the past few years, it seems like only one lady has been working there, 7 days a week. They recently hired a new employee though so maybe the service will improve if one person isn't having to do everything.
Review is for the ice cream shop part. The woman working was nice, but she was on the phone the entire time I was inside... From ordering, scooping, payment, everything. It didn 't seem to be a pressing business matter or a customer call. So I felt like I couldn 't ask any questions without interrupting her. (Also she didn 't wear gloves when scooping, but also didn 't touch the gelato at all; it doesn 't bother me but I know it would others. They offered two sizes and I chose the small. My order came to $9.20, before tip. I expect gelato to be a bit pricier than ice cream, but it still felt like too much to charge for a bowl of gelato. Especially when there 's a Safeway next door and you can get twice the amount of gelato for 6 bucks or so. I 'd certainly return to try a gyro, but will not be ordering any ice cream again. Oh, and I didn 't see any ice cream... It was all gelato. Yummy, but the 4.99 ice cream I saw in the menu photos is not there anymore.
Dry cucumber and tomato slices, tzatziki flavorless. Hot sauce or spice of some kind on the pita and the lamb looks and tastes like the hottest of sausages. 0 out of 10 will not go back. Nothing is worse than expecting savory lamb and instead having your mouth burn for a full minute per bite. Update the next morning: We all have serious gastro distress from the spice level. I 've had 4 alarm chili that that was milder. Update 2: Our card was charged $44.24 for 3 gyros, there are hidden fees at play here. This place is a scam.
My wife and I came for lunch around 2:30 we ordered a lamb super gyro, the butter chicken plate, Greek fries and 2 sides of pita bread. The food was AMAZING. Everything came out hot and super tasteful, even though there was only one person cooking and orders had been placed both before and after us. We thought it would be forever but it was only about 10-15 minutes. WELL Worth the wait. We will be back again ! Can't believe I lived in burien so long without ever stopping in.
