I got the chicken sandwich with a side of mac and cheese; the chicken was breaded nicely and the Mac and cheese was good for PNW, but doesn't compare to what you'd get in Nashville.
I consider myself a foodie (like so many of us! and getting a good sandwich is simple but not easy. This place has a reputation for having a unique vibe and it definitely does. Come for the chicken sandwich! Not healthy by any means but it will cure you of your craving and pack a nice size for a good price.
I don’t like being a hater giving bad reviews but if i could give this place a zero i would. i ordered the catfish and a few chicken burgers. the catfish tasted like dirt i genuinely could not finish eating more than a few bites. the fried pickles just tasted like oil. the chicken tenders had a bunch of tendons in it and the spice was overwhelming with no other flavor whatsoever. it was also dry and there were parts of it that were JUST breading with no chicken. the only good part of the meal was the side of mac n cheese. what a waste of 70$. if you like hot chicken do not eat here you will be disappointed
This place has all the bizarre mismatch of pieces that are so Seattle because they don’t make sense and don’t need to because once you have been you can’t wait to go back. The building is old funky and dimly lit. The decor is eclectic enough that it wasn’t until the end of the meal that I realized they have Ms. PacMan Arcade tables! There is a bar and there is a place to watch sports. The food though? The only other time I have had catfish and okra like that was on a business trip to Georgia nearly twenty years ago! My dining companions ordered chicken and waffles and raved about them. I will be back to try those for sure. If you like honest southern food that is simply delicious you owe it to yourself to check this place out!
Good chicken, just ridiculously hot. I had hot chicken in Nashville and it was nothing close to this. I got the “Seattle hot” spice level and it was one of the top 10 hottest things I’ve ever had in my life, and I like spicy food!
