Taki's Mad Greek - Seattle

Food is delicious. Fresh and vibrant flavors. Great neighborhood casual vibe. Live music on Saturday nights. Portions are very large. Pita is tasty. Honestly, all of it was great. Heads up that the service is a bit unusual, sometimes giving unexpected responses to questions or wandering off mid-sentence. But she does seem to have a purpose when she walks away still talking, just a different style of interaction with people. Was great and hilarious about answering questions: example, meals came with a choice of side dish, including greek salad or authentic greek salad. We asked what was the difference and were treated to a hilarious diatribe about how a real Greek would be ashamed to eat lettuce and it\'s a useless vegetable, but some americans want it, so they have to offer it. Well then, we didn\'t dare order anything other than the authentic greek salad Although, honestly, I\'m sure she\'d have happily served us whatever we\'d asked for. Lovely spot, we\'ll definitely be back.

As we walked in for our reservation, there was an argument going on between the cook and what appeared to be every other employee. Great start!! Got seated, menus, water. Drinks took quite a while. Food came out slow, but there was a large party getting served. Food was awesome. Somehow the arguing cook the rest of the crew manage to put out a great product. The live music, singing, and a belly dancer made it well worth enduring the worst service we have experienced in years.

Served people graciously and efficiently. Very clean and best Greek food outside of Greece we have eaten.

Great place for Saturday night Greek food and music.
