Suggest an early arrival on peak nights as the Pub and Diner are popular.We tried a selection from both the specials board and the set menu, both of which were excellent.The dining room is spacious and well heated with TVs to keep track of the news or game while you wait.Plenty of well lit, off-street parking.

My husband and I are small eaters. We usually share an entree and a main meal and this has never ever been a problem anywhere. At the Royal Mail we ordered one soup and one main, which I will grant, involved a small bowl of vegetables that my husband selected from the buffet. He took only what was his allotted portion. I then had some of his meat and a few of his vegetables. And he had a bit of my soup. At the end of the meal the waitress said that because we were first timers she wouldn't charge us for an extra bowl of vegetables (which we never had) as their policy is no sharing under any circumstances. The reasoning did not add up. It seems if you buy a meal and share it and feel full then you've had the equivalent of two full meals. What???Even if your meal doesn't involve vegetables you are still not allowed to share. Remember if you fill your tummy till it's full you've somehow diddled the owner. I must say however the pumpkin soup was absolutely delicious but the roast of the day - lamb - was sinewy and chewy. The vegetables were nothing to write home about either. The main at $24-$25 was way overpriced for what it was. The only good part of the evening was the soup and the lovely waitress but we still came away feeling like naughty children who had just been scolded.

Wir waren hier einen Abend mit einer relativ großen Gruppe Essen. Es wurden Steaks und auch vegetarische Gerichte bestellt. Die Größe der Fleischgerichte war gigantisch, während die vegetarischen Gerichte sehr klein waren. Zusätzlich konnte man sich am Beilagenbüffett bedienen. Dieses war aber häufig leer und zum Großteil unterdurchschnittlich. Getränke waren okay. Das Ambiente konnte ich nicht richtig einordnen. Zunächst fühlte man sich underdressed verglichen zu anderen Gästen. Dann passte dies aber wieder nicht dazu, dass an der Theke geordert werden musste.

We went for the first time and stayed for hours. Food was delicious and vegies were lovely. We will return. The young lady who looked after us was very helpful.
