We decided to try out this restaurant since it had recently been renovated. The menu was limited, but we both decided to order the mixed grill. Unfortunately, my partner had wanted lamb but received a chicken breast instead, which was disappointing. The steak seemed to have been microwaved and was not cooked to our liking. The food was served to staff members before us, even though we had ordered first. The chicken from the salt and pepper box tasted unpleasant, and the texture was tough to chew. The only enjoyable part of the meal was the curry sauce, which seemed to be from a sachet. Overall, it was not a pleasant experience, especially for our first date night in over a year. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
Nice enough, but £5 Morreti is town prices and not what you’d expect from your local pub. Other than that can’t really fault it
I come here regularly for drinks with friends but hadn’t been for food since the new owners took over… I’ve definitely been missing out! My niece and I had pasta bowls for lunch, hers was Halloumi and I had the Arrabbiata with chicken, wow it was spicy! Good size portions and best arrabbiata I’ve had in a long time, and this is a regular for me in many Italian restaurants. Would definitely recommend and will be dining here more often (when I can get in as it’s so busy! .
Went to the Horse and Jockey with my friends had a lovely meal and a few drinks. It was very busy. Staff were lovely very friendly and helpful. They brought your drinks to the table which is very good .We have been to other places and they don't do this . Would definitely recommend this pub to all our friends and family.
