This is one of the best cheese pizza slices I 've ever had in my life. I 've had thousands. At least. I married a 4th generation NYer from brooklyn. I 've grown up in Philly where I fell in love with pizza. I 've had the best slices in nyc (lots of great pizza), N Jersey, Bay Area (yes some good pizza there), Chicago, LA, Philly, upstate NY, ling island, and CT. I 've had all kinds of pizza, even Indian pizza. As far as the 'ny slice ' goes, Anthony 's cheese slice is perfect. Perfect thin crust with a firm crispy delicate base, perfect sauce (you can taste the tomatoes, with a lovely balance of acid and sweetness and pure goodness), and perfect mozzarella cheese. However, the crust is delicate, so I recommend you eat it there for the best crust and pizza slice experience. I 'll be back for more slices before trying the sandwiches. Although they had closed just 5 minutes before we arrived, the staff still made us our pizza, which was a very thoughtful gesture. The service was excellent, with a rating of 5 out of 5 for both the food and service. We ordered takeout for dinner.
