It was a chilly, rainy morning and quite chilly in the restaurant as well, sadly. Normally have zero complaints... the food is always a 10 out of 10 at this location, not so much anymore at south plaza.
I truly enjoy dining here. The service is excellent, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable.
I meet my friend here for brunch fairly often. On weekend mornings, you can expect a line, but we are never unhappy to wait. The crepes are delicious, as are the healthier items on the menu. I've never had a bad meal here.Service is friendly, but can be a bit rushed, which is understandable due to the line and need for table turnover. I've never felt rushed to leave my table though, and that is what matters. The servers are just excellent at hustling to get the food out quickly and hot.The coffee brand that they use always seems bitter to me, so I wish they'd try something new, but obviously there are people who like it or they wouldn't have lines, so I will keep doctoring the coffee with creamer and sweetener while enjoying the very good food. The neon sign at the back of the restaurant that reads 2P with an arrow pointing toward the bathrooms cracks me up every time.
Food is great. Service was great in the begining until the server told us to leave after 1 hour of enjoying great food, good convo with my friend because ‘we’re preventing him from getting new tables.’ Even though there were so many open tables. We left feeling shocked and speechless. As someone who own and also work in restaurant industry, I never encountered this kind of situation before. We don’t mind leaving if they were a long line of ppl waiting for tables. It’s the lack of professionalism to me.
We have eaten lunch here twice, pretty close to 2 pm each time. The two sandwiches I've had (Reuben and Turkey Avocado Pesto) were delicious. Our waiter brought plenty of lemon for my iced tea, a to-go cup when I asked for one, and easily accommodated my request for no melon in my fruit cup. My husband enjoyed his Ranchero omelet. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu in the future.
