The bar area was busy (it was the week before Christmas) but the staff were attentive and it was a nice atmosphere. The restaurant was less busy, which I appreciated as a solo traveller. The menu had plenty of choice. I had prawn cocktail as a starter which was tasty, followed by the chicken and chorizo kebab served on flatbread which was excellent. The man who took my order and served my meal was friendly and helpful. I will be staying at The Florentine again in January and look forward to eating here again.
Probably the worst over priced food in Sheffield, small potions at a expensive price, you could count the chips you where served on one hand, never again
A massive thank you to Julie, and the team. They made our wedding reception so special; nothing was too much trouble and Julie certainly went above and beyond to make our day memorable; she even created the perfect wedding breakfast table for us. The food was amazing; and everyone had a great time. The accommodation was beautiful, really clean, quiet and comfy beds. The whole experience was faultless, and it genuinely made our wedding day perfect.
We visited for all times sake when it was years ago the Fulwood inn, when we lived locally. We chose the lunch menu with steak and chips for both of us; we both chose medium in choice of the cooking of the steak. After 35 minutes wait, the 6oz steak arrived already reduced to 4oz a burnt piece of beef, regrettably full of gristle. After a 15 minute ‘waiter check’ we complained. The server did attempt to resolve the issue and afforded us a 30% discount free coffee. This was NOT the waiters issue it was 1. The chef, an experienced chef would not have allowed this poor quality food to be allowed of their kitchen. 2. The manager who never visited our table to offer their apology. I do NOT recommend this restaurant for these reasons, and will not revisit
We hadn't been to the Florentine for some time but we weren't disappointed. I had the lunch menu, posh fish fingers and Pat had a salad and we shared a pudding. Also had wine and a G T. Most enjoyable with good service.
