Horrible experience!We used this bakery for our wedding cake and it was a disaster and truly a disappointment that did not need to happen.We had 3 meetings at the bakery each time with pictures.1st meeting: an introduction where shared our cake idea and guest count. Idea, not ideas. We knew what we wanted.2nd meeting: verified we were on the same page. Payment made.3rd. Last payment and recapped what was paid for, and expected.Wedding day, we get something completely different. We were shocked at how a mistake like this can happen. To our surprise after calling the bakery we find out it was not a mistake.The bakery decided what would look better since they were putting their name on it and changed the design of the cake. It looked like was 16 century Rome with flowers all over it. Great for someone that wanted that. HEART BREAKING to us who clearly expressed what we wanted and the bakery agreed to.I would stay away, save yourself the grief and heartache.

I have been going to Militello’s since I believe 1979-1980. Every year I would buy their delicious Italian cookies for Xmas and always 24 cannoli shells. It was a 5 out of 5. Mr. Militello would come out and speak to all his costumers and be so kind. We miss him mostly.I bought this year 24 canolli shells, no cookies because they look fumbled around in the show case and not too appealing. The girl behind the counter assured me the recipes was Mr Militello’s own. So I brought the cannoli shells home. When I opened the box, I always put my nose down and give them a sniff, yummy was not what happened. These shells smelled like old grease from fried fish. I know they don’t sell fish at a bakery so I’m wondering how often they change their oil? I’ll never again set foot into this bakery again. Also the men In There were very unfriendly. God bless the Militello family but take your name off this bakery. Unhappy lady.

Do NOT trust this bakery with cake decorating! I rarely write reviews but I was so disappointed after my last experience here that I felt I had to say something. I ordered a cake in person here for an anniversary party. I explained in detail what I was looking for when it comes to decoration because the party had a strict white and gold color scheme. I showed pictures (1st picture included) and even pointed to some of the fake cakes they have in their store to show what I was looking for. When I went to pick up the cake, the box was taped. I thought this was strange because usually when I’ve ordered custom cakes I’m shown the cake before leaving to make sure it’s what I asked for. But, I was in a rush and since my prior experience with them was good, I trusted everything would be fine and took the cake without looking at it. (I was rushing because the party was in a couple hours) When I did finally open the box, I was appalled to find a pink cake covered in sloppily done chocolate drizzle and bright green leaves. (2nd and 3rd pictures) None of which matched the description I gave them. I called right away and was told to send an email with pictures. I did exactly that and received no response. I wanted to give them time to correct their mistake but since it’s been over a month, it’s clear to me that they really don’t care. Very disappointed.

Militello’s Bakery made a delicious and beautiful cake for our wedding. Some of the best cake we’ve ever had. Highly recommend and special thanks to Dolly.

Love everything! Cannolis ricotta original are the best! Even the chocolate dipped cannolis are a must try! Don’t forget Fat Tuesday, they have the best PACZKIS!!!!!
