Family Deli - Shinnecock Hills

Shinnecock Lobster Factory makes amazing lobster rolls! I ordered a warm, buttery “whale” roll. You could have ordered a small “dolphin,” a medium “shark,” or a large “whale” and the whale roll has the most lobster meat. The whale roll is more expensive but I think it was worth it. I bought a raspberry iced tea for my drink. There is only outdoor seating, including a grass area you can bring dogs. You order at the window and bring the food to the tables with benches. There is no indoor seating. The restaurant is a quick 5-minute drive from downtown Southampton. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going back!

This is the third time when ordering a lobster role I specifically and clearly asked for less mayo. The counter person said they WOULD make it with less mayo. Instead, for the third time, the lobster was swimming in mayo and not enjoyable. I also asked for cold slaw instead of potato chips. Again, they completely disregarded my request and gave me the chips again. They seem courteous, but in reality they just ignore and totally disregard the customer. I AM A LOVER OF LOBSTER AND WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE!!!!

There is a significant criminal element throughout the Shinnecock Nation and the local police are only able to respond to direct incidents. My 8 year old daughter was scared this weekend and we will never go back. We own a house 5 minutes away in Southamton. The lobster itself was pretty awful too. However, as a parent, safety first. Mayor Jesse Warren is powerless when it comes to policing this area. All residents of Southampton should avoid the Shinnecock Nation, this is a cesspool of crime and no place for children.
