El Compadre Mexican Seafood

I was immediately greeted at the entrance, and becuase it wasn't crowded, we were allowed to pick our own seats. There's a restroom on the left side in the back area if you want to wash your hands. They carry no sanitizers. Our Waitress was kind. Customer service was about as good as I had expected. Food was okay, but nothing special. The Shrimp Tacos were pretty good. Breaded shrimp was almost disappointing. Just a nice enjoyable time with mom. Their salsa is very hard toresist.

The service was good, despite a bit of a wait due to the restaurant being busy. However, the food was served hot and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. We ordered the fajitas, which were delicious with tender meat. The dish only included onions and green peppers, no guacamole or sour cream. The black beans were watery and not very plentiful, while the rice was average. I would like to return to try their enchiladas. The restaurant seems to be popular, especially during lunch and on weekends. As someone from San Antonio, TX, my tastes might be different.

I really appreciate the friendly customer service at this restaurant. The food was served promptly and was quite good, and there weren't many people dining at the time. However, I found the menu to be too extensive for my liking.

We arrived at the restaurant a little later than planned, and a little closer to closing time than I like. The wait staff were genuinely happy to seat us and had our drinks and chips/salsa on the table in no time. The head cook/chef actually came through the dining area checking on the remaining customers and took our order himself. He recommended the burrito supreme with green sauce and his recommendation was on point. Delicious!! This is one of my favorite places tohave my man child take me to eat. Authentic Mexican food, great service, and great drinks.

In the city for a business trip, my family took to El Compadre and was not disappointed. For beginners, the waiting staff was super friendly and they were on place for the entire visit. I'm usually not a fan of whiter quesos, but I've totally blown through it. Chips were super hot, not greasy... perfect. If I'm ever in Shreveport, I'm back, great prices and good food.
