Amazing experience!! Didn't get to explore the hike as we arrived late. But glass boat tour was awesome and kayaking in rain was wonderful. Clear waters were so freaking clear
My family and I had an amazing time at Silver Springs State Park. We enjoyed walking the trails, looked for monkeys, didn't spot any, but had the chance to enjoy nature. We did see manatees and alligators.Picnic area: There were a couple of charcoal grills next to some of the picnic tables.
On August 11th, 9am, we rented a tandem kayak. Started at Silver Springs Park and ended at Ray Wayside Park, then took a van back. Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any monkeys. We did see one alligator and a bunch of fish, turtles, and birds. For most of the trip, we let the current drift us to the end so we could look out for wildlife. The park is beautiful and the staff are very nice. The park wasn't crowded. It was like we had the spring to ourselves after the first two miles.
First time Kayaking out here and I fell in love. It was beautifu. Looking forward to being out here more often. So easy to park and launch as long as you are early. Small parking lot so it does fill up quickly especially when the weather is on point.
