Stopped by this restaurant before heading back home to Houston. Tried the meatloaf lunch and OH MY GOODNESS!! This was the BEST meatloaf I have ever tried!!! The Chicken fried steak was also very delicious!! Everything was very delicious. The cornbread was SOOO good!!! The server and owner were super nice the atmosphere was so comfortable! The staff is amazing! Lots of locals at lunchtime. We started with sweet cornbread and ordered the CFS CFC. Both hot, fork tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned. The mashed potatoes are real! Cream gravy excellent. I asked for the green beans recipe and my husband ate the mushrooms and onions first. Large portions, we ate all we could and brought home the rest for dinner. We will be back for sure!
