Steve's Landing - Soddy Daisy

The food was delightful, and the atmosphere was both relaxing and welcoming, complemented by a stunning view of Soddy Lake! We enjoyed the Seafood Dinner and the Catfish Dinner, and both were exquisite!

We recently moved to the Hixson area, and based on my brother’s Uber driver’s recommendation, we decided to try Steve’s for catfish and ribs. The restaurant has a cute, casual vibe. Our server was fantastic and expertly managed our group of seven, but unfortunately, the man at the front counter was quite rude. He told my elderly mother that we needed to wait outside, and when she asked if he meant the area outside the restaurant, he snapped back, "Is there any other outside?" I’m not sure who he was, but he walked around with a grumpy expression the entire time we were there. On the bright side, the rest of the staff was very friendly. I wish I could remember our server's name; she was young with blonde hair and did a wonderful job. My brother mentioned that the catfish was delicious, and my husband enjoyed the ribs as well. My mom ordered the mahi mahi and also found it quite tasty. However, the chicken tenders were just the standard frozen kind you’d find at McDonald's, and the corn fritters were frozen too. The location by the marina is lovely, so we might return during the summer, but I don’t think it will become a regular spot for us.

This place is a hidden gem in Soddy Daisy! I've visited twice now for meals after hiking, and I really enjoy the patio by the water. The inside is charming as well, with a cute diner vibe and a relaxed atmosphere. Although the service has been a bit slow in greeting us on both occasions, and the servers have been somewhat direct, the food has been quite good, so I can't complain too much! I tried their salad, fried chicken sandwich, and catfish sandwich. I wouldn’t order the salad again, but I highly recommend either of the sandwiches. They’re really tasty!

Great all around. Food is awesome. The atmosphere is beautiful. It's very relaxing and so close to home.

If you like good food, do not come here. If you like high quality food, do not come here. I had been told that Steve's Landing has the best Ribs in Chattanooga. I found them to be rubbery. My husband makes better ribs at home. I ordered a burger. The burger was dry and the bun was stale. It probably wouldn't grow mold if left out for a month. I am scratching my head as to why people like this place. It's a hard pass for me.
