It was large enough for It was very good. Our server was friendly and spoke English. My wife...had a glass of wine. They don't have lager beer, so I ordered Koenig Beer, which was not to my taste. I also had the very good apple strudel for dessert. Total price was around euros. We ate inside as the evening was cool but they provided blankets to anyone who wanted to sit outside to drink or eat. This was a nice gesture.
It is in the heard of the city, prices are reasonable, you could be serviced till to late night, Flammkuchen is delicious
I can spend my breakfast here comfortably to the fulllest: There is enough choice, not only with the Bread, there is also Müsli other Cereals, Fruits, Vegetables or Salad, Saft or Kaffee or Teas Slices of Meat,or bacon eggs, usw. The atmosphere is very good.
Upon arrival in Soest on a beautiful April day we were eager to get out in the sun and have a drink. The large outdoor seating area of Brasserie Lamäng, located in a listed half-timbered building at the corner of Mariengasse and Kungelmarkt, was just...what we were looking for. No traffic and a nice view. One of us ordered an arugula salad. When it arrived and we saw the tell-tale brown colour, we realised it had slipped our mind that Germany is Balsamicoland and the salad would be covered in it. We hate it, but it was our mistake, really. So, we left it at that. Fortunately, the bread was very good. Service could have been more cheerfull. Having a look inside we were struck by the totally unexpected but rather fetching Jugendstil (Art Nouveau) decor, complete with lots of wood, stained glass and curvy banisters. There seem to be at least two other Laläng brasseries in the same style in the region, one in Herford (closed recently) and one in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, so the interior is not original. We could find no historic reason why these brasseries have been decorated in the Art Nouveau style.
Nice selection of food and vine to have a cozy dinner outside on summer evening. Splendid view included.
