Macri’s Italian Bakery - South Bend

In an age of fast food and mass produced meals, this is a treasure! The bakery has choices to make your life difficult except that EVERYTHING is good. The quality of the food is matched by the service and personality of the staff. Their service is fast, they are helpful when you are undecided, and you can call ahead and place an order. There is also a restaurant attached I have never been but friends I know who have been RAVED it about.

Carmela and her team are fantastic. The food is amazing and they treat you like family when you visit. A must-visit spot in South Bend.

I went to this restaurant looking for a place with TV screens and I was not disappointed.

Carmela and her team were absolutely fantastic to work with for our wedding cake in August 2022 at Notre Dame. The cake was not only delicious but also beautifully presented, exactly as we had imagined. Carmela was a delight to work with, and we thoroughly enjoyed the cake tasting experience. Despite having to postpone our wedding due to Covid, Carmela kept everything organized and our selections intact, making the process stress-free for us, especially since we live out of town. We saved the top of the cake and enjoyed it on our first anniversary, and it was still as delicious as on our wedding day. We will always be loyal fans of Carmela Macri's Bakery!

Got a pizza, it was really good but not very flavorful, almost but not quite. Good crust, could be better. The desserts are awesome and the selection is pretty impressive. Super nice people, very clean, family friendly.
