When we ordered our food at 6:50pm, we were told they couldn't provide us with a children's menu as they were all being used. By 7:30pm, we inquired about our food and were informed that it would be at least another 30 minutes, totaling to 1 hour and 10 minutes of waiting. We had three hungry children with us, and not even a simple bread basket was brought to our table. We were not given any warning about the delay and had to ask for updates ourselves. Why didn't they inform us earlier so we could make other plans, and why wasn't the bar menu offered in the meantime? We were left feeling frustrated and disappointed. We won't be returning.
I had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. I was slightly disappointed to be charged extra for ordering pigs in blankets, and I only received one. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly. It was a bit loud during our visit due to two families with young children, which slightly disrupted our conversation. However, the service was quick. Overall, I would visit again for Sunday brunch.
This is a delightful old country pub with fantastic food and good service. It is a lovely setting for enjoying a delicious meal.
This was our second visit, and we enjoyed it just as much as before. The food was mainly the spicy pumpkin soup delicious. Our waiter Connor) was friendly and attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu.
We had a nice Sunday roast at the Crown Inn. The service was friendly but it took a long time to get our food. The food itself was OK. Not bad but also not particularly great.
