Zucca - South Lanarkshire

My party of six went to this restaurant for dinner and we all agreed that all three courses were perfect. This restaurant has become one of our favorites. Well done.

I went to have lunch with my family. We sat down at our table at 1pm and didn't receive our food until 1:45pm. Out of the 4 main meals we ordered, 2 of them were lukewarm with plates that were hot but the food wasn't. We sent one of the meals back (pizza/pasta) and were asked if we wanted a fresh one or just reheated. By the time it was remade, the rest of the party had already finished eating. There was no offer of a refund or any form of apology. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience and we will not be returning to Zucca center again.

We were seated right away, and the staff were very friendly and polite. The food was amazing. However, the service came to a halt as the staff gathered outside the restaurant to chat and play fight with each other. I had paid for a 2 course meal but lost patience waiting for my second course. Despite the great food and clean environment, the staff's attentiveness was lacking.

I asked about a gluten free menu before I went in and was assured before we sat down. The young girl who served us also knew about cross contamination and explained they have a separate fryer/prep area. I ordered GF penne with Arrabiata sauce... amazing, tasted so fresh and amazing. Our waitress was lovely and chatty, happy to help and the food was awesome I will be back for sure

We ate here as part of a large group of 20 or so. The staff were very efficient and while this is not a fine dining experience the food was very good. Car parking on both sides of the restaurant. If you are hungry and in East Kilbride it is worth going to the village to eat at Zucca.
