Another great night at The Worlds End. They were very busy on the evening we went which produced a good atmosphere. We all felt very safe with the virus safety regulations in place. The food was it’s usual excellent standard. Well presented, hot and tasty. Considering how many customers there were, the wait to be served was minimal . The staff under the stewardship of Sue were all very smart, polite and friendly. Well done all of you, see you again next week.
Staying locally wondered out last night to find some food, Worlds pub and restaurant End 2 miles up the road. Random non engaging staff exchanging negative comments between each other, totally ignoring patiently waiting customers! Including myself and four others. Left after ridiculous Un organised Un welcoming let’s ignore you period of time, Drove to Norwich, will not darken their door again!
Arrived here after a cycle ride for a drink. Was greeted with We shut at 3pm! Not for any visitor here a kindly smile or welcome or even a friendly hello ... we knew it shut at 3pm as we had checked beforehand. I wouldn 't have minded but it was only 2.30pm not 2.50pm or something outrageous. Never mind we ordered a drink but the beer was off . My husband ordered an alternative beer but told me that it was pretty rank too. (But he drank it must have been thirsty. The menus looked enticing and I was going to suggest that we return here for a meal but I am not going to bother now. As we left the woman said goodbye but didn 't even look up from her phone. It wasn 't a great experience. In contrast we visited another local pub this week and were made to feel like long lost friends. You would think that in this economic climate the pubs would make a bit of an effort to attract customers but not here it seems. Such a shame as the garden was lovely! If you like a face that looks like a camel chewing a soggy biscuit come here! (Just make sure that you arrive at the right time! Didn 't try the food. xx
Very attentive and well informed staff about the menu items and wine on the list. Food was excellent and they coped with my wife's dairy allergy very well. Felt confident eating there. Drinks and wine was a little pricey but it is worth it for the general quality of the experience and the quality and range of wine on offer.
