Unfortunately, the taste and freshness of food is an area that needs improvement, as that has gotten pretty bad since the grand opening. The interior of the restaurant looks incomplete and that also hurts the vibe a bit. The staff is nice and place is not too pricey for a buffet. In my opinion, the uniqueness of this place is worth a visit at least.
We arrived there 1 hr before closing so maybe the experience was 4 stars instead of 5 due to cold food. The manager tried to accommodate us with warm soup, chicken and fries. He was trying to make our experience pleasant. Thai selection was fine with noodles, dumplings etc. Desi food was fine too. Dessert had a good selection. For the price I think the quantity and type of food was good. Might go again during lunch time or proper dinner time.
If you’re suspicious of the prices, you should be. The quality of much of the food is sub-par, some turning out to be at least average, like the chicken tandoori. I’m pretty sure the “fried rice” was just rice over boiled in chicken stock and some possibly canned vegis. The only highlight was the waitress was excellent, I’d be down to 1/4 of a cup of water and she was on top of filling and was very friendly. If they read this review: I suggest putting a little more love and time into their food. But you get what you pay for.
First of all, the price was. Seriously, $12.99 is not much money for dinner. Secondly, the greeting we received was the nice treatment of all. It was our first time there and the owner took us through the place to make sure we wanted to eat there; we did. As soon as you enter the square, welcomes you a beautiful aroma of chickens Tandoori and beautiful spices. They have Thai, Indian, Chinese and American sections. At the moment the selection is not huge, but all we had was very fresh and tasty. As soon as we set ourselves, we noticed how quickly the place fills up and how quickly the bowls are emptied. From what I saw, there were 4 different employees who always brought fresh food out. The Chinese food was brought out by an oriental cook and the Indian food was brought out by an Indian cook. Is that really important? No, but for me, I have credibility about the food when I see who's bringing it out. I mean, I wouldn't think of food as authentic when I go to a Chinese place and the Mexicans see that they're bringing it out. Authenticity. I don't know why, but the food tastes clean. Let me explain. What I mean is that whatever you eat taste like what it is. It does not taste like 10 different types of foods were cooked in the same pot or oil or whatever. The Chinese vegetables tasted like vegetables, chicken tastes like chicken etc. The goat over rice was the best goat I ever had in any restaurant or even when I do it myself. Peat is a very hard meat to get right and these guys hit the nail on their head. The flesh was tender and it just shoved the bone. Everything we had tonight was very delicious. We don't eat much, so we didn't try everything they have, but you can get an idea from the pictures I uploaded. Even better is that they also have dinner and lunch for half the price/lbs. This place is around the corner of us and we will definitely be back.
Great place for a buffet menu. They have several types of Indian, Chinese, Thai and pakistani cuisine and they are absolutely delicious. I'd probably go back if I see NJ soon.
