Charnock Farm - South Ribble

My partner and I celebrated our wedding at Charnock Farm and had an absolutely perfect day. We highly recommend this venue. The new wedding coordinator, Clare, was outstanding. We would like to thank her and the rest of the team for helping us pull off our dream wedding and ensuring everything ran smoothly on the day. The food and service were exceptional. We didn't want the day to end and were the last ones on the dance floor at 3am!

I attended a wedding in August and the weather was beautiful, allowing us to enjoy being outdoors and catching up with family. The decorations, atmosphere, and entertainment at the wedding were all fantastic. However, these were not provided by the venue itself, but rather by the bridal party. The venue is essentially a blank canvas, allowing you to customize it to your liking, which is a positive aspect. Unfortunately, the evening supper was disappointing. The bacon and sausage baps with chips were not up to par - the bread was stale and tasteless, the bacon was of poor quality, and the chips were oven-baked. Additionally, there wasn't enough food to go around. I also learned from family members that there were issues with the accommodations. While the venue may be a good option for a daytime event, I would not recommend it for evening events or overnight stays.

I strongly advise against choosing this restaurant for your event. I had booked a christening event here in May for September, and I had followed all the necessary procedures by returning signed booking forms and completing all the required tasks. I had even visited the venue to measure corners for entertainment and discussed details with the staff. However, just days before my event, I was informed that my booking had been double booked and was being cancelled. I had to spend an hour on the phone explaining that it was not my fault and providing evidence of my communication with the venue, only to be told that they could not accommodate me. This was a completely unprofessional and incompetent display of event management. Avoid this place and book elsewhere!

After purchasing per night to stay in your motel in room as part of a wedding party, we expected to receive the same standard of room as my family given as it was the same price. The entrance to the building was filthy,...crisps all over the floor and as I entered the room the door slammed into the bed. This illustrates the size of the room, the bathroom was filthy and to top it off we received one towel between us. I would highly recommend any bridal party to stay elsewhere.

Was so disappointed to eat here as we come regularly to feed the ducks. Had pie and chips and a sausage bap which cost and it was awful! A hard frozen pie and cheap bap with skinny sausages. Trust in all the recent negative...reviews on TripAdvisor and don't go!
