Sawadee Thai Cuisine - South Windsor

Good food, small portions, BIG price!. Honestly, when Sawadee first opened, my mother and I loved the place. The food was always good, portions were plentiful, and servers were polite. Lately, they have the responsibility for everything! They give you a small bowl of rice with spicy food and curry (which is enough for me, but not normally for my fiancée and any additional rice that she extra for. I notice that this is common in most Thai restaurants, but it seems that in the years, as if the fiancées of the Sawadee have become smaller and smaller, and their prices are higher and higher. Nevertheless, I still like their food, and when we go (which has not happened in over a year, I always order the pad to see that is flat stir roasted noodles with fried eggs, chicken, broccoli and carrots in a sweet black soy sauce. And then I usually ask for her small carrier of four different sauces, so I can pour some of the chilli vinegar and crushed red pepper flies over my pad see Eew. I'll do the same when I order a wheel close. Finally, her fried ice cream is by far the best I tasted in every restaurant. Its nice and flakey on the outside then with chocolate sauce and whipped cream with cherries on the top. Oooo soo good! You also surround the ice with something other than bread, I think pounds of cake and corn flakes? I didn't find out, and they won't tell me.

LIEBE IT!!! Here I bring all Thai experience for the first time and never had anyone decide that they don't love it!! The service is usually timely and food is great quality and cheap!

Thai me down, i cant handle the excitement!.. When trying Thai food, Pad Thai is usually a safety dish. Go for broke here and be adventuresome. Order up a Thai ice tea (just in case you cant handle the spice), and try something new. You will not be disappointed.

Great Thai. There are many Thai places around and many of them seem to be more into image and atmosphere than the food. This place is a tiny open room in a strip mall. If you didn't know about it you would miss it for sure. Service was fast from the moment we sat down. Prices were fair. The variety on the menu was great. This place is very authentic as far as the selection goes. I enjoyed everything I tried, as did my friend. We were in and out in less than a hour while taking our time. It was quite busy on a friday night. I would go back for sure. Highly recommend it.
