Chip's Family - Southbury

The food was great. I usually don't like pancakes, but they were perfect. I dropped a Star-Bc, it took FOREVER for the waiter to take our drink order.

Great supplement as it comes to Southbury. We definitely needed a more diverse breakfast scene. I'm going with my fiancé here for two weeks, a nice sit-down breakfast and every time it was phenomenal. The pancakes are hot and fluffy, the eggs are perfectly cooked for the over medium and the service we receive every time is excellent. The best part of my two-week Sunday routine!

We stopped yesterday after our hike. The place is clean, the manager is very friendly and Khris the server was excellent. It was difficult to choose the pancake choices, so we chose the traditional butter milk with strawberries, blueberries and bananas. From this world the Talipia was cooked for perfection. Will be back

Chip's would definitely be my way to the diner if I lived in CT. The atmosphere was welcoming and cozy. Our server, Anthony, was very friendly, attentive, but above all patient. I came here to try their “speciality” pancakes. If you are not as prefabricated options they offer, you have the opportunity to build your own pancakes. I ordered the 2x2x2x2x2x2 and replaced the simple buttermilk pancakes for the speciality Coconut Crunch pancake for an additional cost and it was worth it. The pancakes were large, fluffy and melted in the mouth; simply delicious. If you get other foods next to your pancakes, I would recommend getting a short stack because the pancakes are quite full and a bit sweeter than expected. I definitely come back to try out their other menu items.

Their pancakes are famous for a reason, they are quite possibly the best anywhere on the planet. They have many flavor options but the cinnabon pancakes are a must try. Im sure the other foods on the extensive menue are probably good too, but you would have to be out of your mind to go here and not get the pancakes. The service is always fast and courteous. Be prepared for a line at peak breakfast hours but it is definitely worth it.
