The chimichanga was soggy and the seafood flavor was too mild and I thought. Did they just did not meet the standard I was expecting and my grandson had tacos. We paid $70 for LUNCH without adult drinks and my son and I had water. It just wasn't worth it for average Mexican food. It could have been fast food. Sorry, I won't be returning.
Stopped with my husband son and dog on a beautiful sunny day as we were talking a walk . Wanted to have some snacks and drinks but they wouldn’t let us sit outside even if we went inside to order and carry it out . They barely acknowledged my husband when he was trying to get the attention of 2 employees chatting . When he finally got a waiters attention he said they were not servicing the patio ! Guess they have enough business if we couldn’t even wait in ourselves !! Terrible way to treat anyone wanting to spend money at their establishment! They need a good lesson in customer service … would never spend my money there after that !
Updated: from 5 to 4 stars. See below. 1st review: This place rocks. Best Mexican food I 've found in 3 years in Nevada. Service was excellent they weren 't busy, but they also weren 't over staffed . I had the Arroz con pollo suissa with the green sauce/melted Monterey Jack the mesquite grilled chicken because if you know, you know . It was excellent. I also got the spicy salsa, which had a nice habanero kick to it. Only negative is getting charged $2 for the extra salsa and my Dr Pepper was $4 it was giant, but still . Sat in the bar area, so not a lot of ambiance, but they did have football on the big screen. Of note, a local artist came in and set up a show of her art Wendy? that was sponsored by Sierra Arts, and I thought a that 's a great concept and b her art was very cool it 's on the walls of the restaurant . I 'll be back next week for the fajitas. UPDATE: Two trips later, and Tres Hombres has lost a star. On the first trip back, I had the steak fajitas and they were just meh. Whatever happened to the sizzling plate full of meat and vegetables? Sure not the case here. Setup guac, sour cream, NO CHEESE ??? was small for the portion size of meat. And there may have been some onion in with the meat, but that 's all...no green/red pepper. Steak did not taste like it had been mesquite grilled. Somewhat disappointing. Service was still excellent, though. Second trip back I had the carnitas, and I was not impressed. Not very flavorful, seemed like the meat had been stewed or maybe pressure cooked? I ordered the queso fundido this is my fault, I didn 't read the menu closely enough and it was gross. Don 't get me wrong, I like Velveeta and rotel dip, but this was Velveeta and something else....and it turned super thick super fast. Fortunately, I got the small, if I would have been charged the $10 menu price I would have really been upset. Service was, again, excellent, although I worry that they only have one waiter that works there....he was hustling his butt off, because it was moderately busy on Saturday afternoon. One guy? Come on, Tres Hombres, you need to work your staffing better than that.
I came to Cantina Los Tres Hombres on my 22nd birthday with my family. My mother had the Mesquite pork burrito and a regular margarita, she said it was scrumptious, my aunt got the burrito bowl and a peach margarita and said it was very yummy, we also got guacamole and salsa as a side which kept us satisfied as we waited for our food, I tried the spicy pork tacos which were so delicious and had a desert pear margarita, it was yummy but was kinda strong but I was celebrating so no complaints. Because it was my birthday, I got a deep fried CHEESECAKE chimichanga for FREE which was a very kind gesture from the restaurant and earned them 5 stars, they also let me take a bday pic in the restaurant and the employees were so kind. My only complaint is the prices but it’s not really their fault, thanks inflation. Will definitely stop by again in the future.
I ordered the Seafood Chingalinga meal. When I got home there were no rice or beans. I went back. When I sat down to eat, it wasn't even a Seafood Chingalinga! Ugh! I was not going back for a third time.
