I prefer larger chain restaurants where food is prepared right in front of you at a lower price, rather than taking a chance on a smaller establishment with an unclear quality standard, especially since they don’t promote "made to order." Typically, I avoid Chinese restaurants that market themselves as fast food, but this one does not. I was hopeful based on the positive reviews, but having tried authentic Chinese food in various places around the world and across the U.S., I know what genuine Chinese cuisine should taste like.
Fantastic spot for quick Chinese food! The portion sizes are generous, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. It's definitely a local favorite among those who work in the area.
Update on my previous review: Today was a much better experience! They are now open for seating. However, I noticed that the portion sizes seem to be getting smaller, and this is the second time I've had General T's chicken that was overly crispy with quite a few hard, fried bits. At least they are managing to stay open, which is a relief considering some other local businesses are struggling with staffing issues. I visited for the first time today and found the portion sizes to be good for the price. It's a bit of a clean hole-in-the-wall type of place, but if they can maintain their food quality while keeping prices reasonable, they should be able to thrive. Follow-up: It's great to have a little more variety in the area. Just a heads up, they do use MSG in their Chow Mein.
Good food with alright prices. The only thing is there is 1 female that takes orders and puts the food in bags after it comes out of the kitchen and she acts like she has all the time in the world. Slow A.F putting the good in s bag and handing it over. If there is someone there she is talking to, then you can be sure you will be late back to work from lunch.
Honestly the food is hit and miss Sometimes it?s hot and fresh and sometimes whoever?s cooking back there just throws whatever stuff that was cooked earlier and that?s what you get I?m just glad that a Mexican restaurant has opened up next-door to make it competitive maybe the quality will get better also they asked you to tip I don?t know if this has anything to do with the quality
