Uncle Poon's - Spartanburg

This place is pretty good but could use some improvements. For example the chicken fried rice has a good flavor but they don’t put hardly any chicken in it which is really the main ingredient so it’s basically just flavored rice. All other food that we had was just mediocre and didnt have the WOW factor that we were looking for. Our expectations are set pretty high since we’ve been to a lot of Asian restaurants outside of South Carolina and they’re food is so fantastic and authentic so we know that they can do better. Im giving them a 5 star rating because theyre nice and times are hard right now for the restaurant industry so at least they're trying and we will come back and try it again.

I get the spicy shrimp lo mein with added broccoli everytime it’s delicious ! ps.. i already started eating the portions are fair

Very delicious food for cheap prices. I ordered Sweet and Sour chicken and got a large quantity and an egg roll and rice for $8.39.

Quick and speedy service, shrimp egg roll was great, best dumplings we've had in a longgggg time. Cheese wonton were ok. The brown sauce was super thick, it didn't want to mix well with the rice. Chicken on a stick was pretty tasty. I used to love this place as a kid. As an adult its slightly better than average. I'd still recommend to friends and family.
