Hostess Brands Inc - Spencer

Small town bakery with great taste! Excellent! The pastries were some of the best of all time. The whole experience was wonderful. The special coffee was butter pecan and was enthusiastic. Damn the calories, I'll be a regular when we move to Spencer.

This is a good little town bakery in Spencer. When I left, I got a Praline Donut and a few Caramels and they were both very good. The owners are a man and woman team and when I left, they both worked and were incredibly nice people. They offer many different bakery options from biscuits to donuts to cakes and cakes to bread. If you drive through Spencer, I recommend you stop this place.

If you ever travel to Spencer, Iowa, a stop at this bakery is a must! It's one of the few locally owned bakeries that are still out there and a dozen of their rolls are like 2 dozen. The quality and density of their bakery products are worth a visit!

I love Carroll's. Always have and always will. While the elimination of the lunch menu is quite sad, I'll still happily stop in often for a peanut butter nut cluster with chocolate. Carroll's sells the second best doughnut I've ever experienced and I'm not sure I can celebrate an event in Spencer without some cake. Bailey's cake is a family favorite. This bakery is cute, friendly, homey and perfectly small town. They make ordering for delivery pretty easy, too!

I used to live in Spencer years ago and Carroll's made this pink champagne cake that we got every year for our birthdays. It was so good!!!!! I wonder if they still make it? And the cream horns! YUM!
