We all had a great time, you should definitely make this a stop if you are in the area. Good drinks, service and the price is totally acceptable.
Not sure I will support them anymore. I have purchased items here on several occasions for my husband. But today when we went for walk on the Sperryville River Walk, they asked us to leave. They escorted us to the door. The town cat jumped out of nowhere and stalled us. Then we petted hin. We tried to explain we had just seen another group hiking this same path. Two African Americans hiking behind the building I guess was too threatening. They only like the color green ..
A delightful, unassuming location. When you pull up, you might think your GPS took you to the wrong location, because you will be surrounded by old warehouses. Rest assured, you're in the right spot! Follow the sign to the distillery, and head in the main doors to be greeted in a rustic space that pays homage to the building's roots. If it's a nice day, head out back for a nice surprise a cocktail garden alongside the river! The menu is loaded with tasty cocktail options for you to enjoy, as well as a couple spirit flights. I'd personally recommend the premium flight because it contains some of the best local whiskey expressions I've had. While you're in the garden, you may be joined by one of the distillery's cats, which can provide extra entertainment if they're in a hunting mood.
Received an awesome tour from Dave, who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in answering our questions. There is some unique history in both the brand and the building that the distillery is in, and it was a nice tour and definitely worth doing. The outdoor seating area runs along a creek, and it was very beautiful and peaceful to sit out there to enjoy the whiskey flights. In addition to the tour and two different flight offerings, they have a nice selection of cocktails (mocktails for the kids) and a small gift shop. The prices were very reasonable, and you might also see Steve, who is the very active black cat in the photos I posted. The venue is family friendly, and this is a great place to go and enjoy a delicious whiskey and unwind.
