I 'm thinking this place must 've changed ownership since the last time I was here. There seems to be a lack of management and it 's almost as if the place can 't decide whether it 's a divey sports bar or a family restaurant and a sports bar. This place has all the standard bar food like burgers, fried curds, etc. and they have pizza but it 's not even on the main menu which is odd. It 's on a separate paper fold up menu that you 'll find at your table with the napkins and utensils. I stumbled upon it by accident. Not very good marketing there. The bartenders are not educated on making much except spirit drinks although they looked up how to make the drink recipes online to satisfy our requests. One waitress made a remark saying sorry I usually only make jack and coke basically insinuating that we were being too complicated by ordering martinis and margaritas at a full bar. The place was not busy. They should be trained to make the basics like martinis, cosmos, margaritas and etc and not make remarks like that to customers. Some of the waitresses are super friendly and others are not. Also waitresses should not be allowed to wear strong perfumes or any perfume for that matter. That is a standard rule for the service industry. Most restaurants have that as a policy. Word of advice: don 't go here on Tuesday (if I remember correctly) unless you want to stand in line and order at the bar for your food and drinks because it 's bingo night and they have limited wait staff. This is a great location and it has a good menu but this place needs some work with their employees.
This place has so much potential and they are definitely on the right track. Food is good and they are relatively new so once in a while seem to be working out the kinks. One thing I wish you could change was when I ordered pizza which they just started offering I couldn't get sausage on just half. Only giving two stars because service is severely lacking. There is one staff member/bartender who I have witnessed on 2 separate occasions being extremely rude to customers. This gentleman should have been ashamed of himself and acts like he is on a huge power trip. Word spreads fast when people get treated poorly.
I had the Far Out Burger with onion rings. I was unimpressed. The burger was ok but the onion rings were terrible, a $3 price increase too! Either the batter was off or the grease needed to be changed. When I tried to mask the taste with ketchup, it tasted spoiled. And the coleslaw was old, dry, and tasted like too much vinegar was used. The person next to me had flat soda (from the gun) and a second guest had soda with too much syrup (from the gun). Our server told us the cook walked off the job the week before, leaving us all uneasy about who was cooking. I understand this restaurant has had many struggles opening and closing many times over the last few years, but stick to selling alcohol if the cooking is so-so.
Great new place! Newly opened and just getting on their feet. You can tell the heart is there and soon this place will be the hit of the town! The inside is clean and the food and drinks were impressive. So happy to see another place open up in Spooner. This place has a late open kitchen, till 11 pm. Basic menu with burgers, cheese curds, sandwiches, fries, salads etc. They have a huge beer selection they carry and Black Box Wine. The menu noted that they will soon be serving brunch. No matter where you sit in this place you can view at least on of their many TVs. Great place to watch a game! The have some games for kids (or adults) as well. My family will be back here with the kids next time. Summertime hours are 11 am -11 pm. It's worth checking out!
