We were on a tour and were hungry. Our guide dropped us off and of course we had a time limit. A few of us stopped in at Pizza Delight. Some had the buffet which had a nice variety of pizza, salads and soup. As two of us had dietary restriction we ordered a small pizza each. Both were happy with our choice and the food was delicious. They were fast in getting our food to us and our server was friendly and helpful. It was a nice change.
For some reason, the air con wasn't pulling it's weight the day we visited, so after being seated, we reconsidered and instead ordered dinner to go for enjoying back at our b&b. Terrific, generous hot-top salad from the dine-in menu, quickly prepared with very pleasant and accommodating staff. Great value!
I've been in the St Anthony area for approximately 3 months and have frequented Pizza Delight a few times. The food is always consistant, a few mess-ups here and there but it is always fixed. This Pizza Delight is smaller than most as it is in a mall, If you are looking for quiet, this isn't the place to go as the restaurant is far too small and you can hear everything all over the restaurant. They have a grill your own bread station which is always functional and kept clean and stocked. The service is hit or miss, I have been there a couple times and gotten poor service, no refills, no one asked how our meals were etc. Other times the service was impeccable. Finding healthy and vegetarian food on the west coast of Newfoundland has been a real challenge. As you drive up Route 430 along the northern coast, there are very few restaurants. However, we had heard about a pizza restaurant in St. Anthony's and decided to give it a try. The pizza was delicious and vegetarian-friendly. The service was a bit slow but the staff were friendly. Unfortunately, they were out of the beer we wanted, but they had a good selection of other options. Our appetizers never arrived, so we decided to cancel them. The price we paid for our pizza was average for Newfoundland. Overall, it was a decent dining experience.
