My wife and I were not long in A W and our first visit was the new restaurant at the Trans Canada Highway in Whitbourne, NL, about an hour drive from St. John's. It was a wonderful experience... and quite different from our experience yesterday evening, September 11 in original A W (the first in Newfoundland) on Kenmount Road, St. John's. We ordered two Papa dishes and paid extra for salads and tomatoes only to find that our burgers never had these articles on the burgers and the participant argued that we did not order this, although our bill clearly showed that this is the case. We sat inside to eat our meal, and we served him because it was a drawout dish without basket for our frits (part of the experience we enjoy) and no glass cups for our root beer and our burgers were cold. I do not recommend this place for a satisfactory culinary experience. We will not return to this place soon.
Moma and Papa Burger were as good as usual. The root beer was only 3/4 filled and the frits were not as sharp and hot as expected. I understand that the virus has changed how everything works, but this experience was not what...we expected
Came here with my wife for breakfast and ordered the “Classic Breakfast” asking about medium-sized eggs and they were barely served over easily, toast was cold and drink was warm. Bacon was the only good at breakfast. My wife's breakfast was terrible. Her eggs were also cold. Would not recommend this place at all.
Had big breakfast, bacon, eggs, hash browns, toast and coffee. Service was quite quick, staff were OK but not like the staff in Mount Pearl A W who are very friendly and efficient, so if it's A W you want to go to,...visit Mount Perl
