I ordered a chicken biryani plate and was a little surprised. Only a few chickens on the bone and a significant help of spiced rice. No vegetables. There was a small bowl of Daal provided separately.
This is my fave place for takeout in town. Reliable, simple parking, super friendly staff, no parking spaces in the city centre. I recommend beef corma, veggie curry (delicious, even if you do not veg), spicy chickens curry and samosas. If you call to order, they'll have it ready for you. There is also a good lunch buffet if you want fast, casual and tasteful!
We were not impressed by the meal or service. The restaurant was dirty. I had the butter chicken, it was a smaller portion, hardly a chicken and type Bland taste. My colleague had the beef plate and felt that he was also tasteless. It wasn't a service. The washroom set me up, it looked like he hadn't been cleaned for years. Would not recommend this place.
The food isn’t great. Even if you are hungry you will have a tough time eating this stuff. There aren’t many choices in this town for Indian food but this one is not worth a nickel. A good choice is the St. John’s market food...on Saturday and Wednesday evenings. There are several vendors that have decent Indian food.
