While the restaurant is nice and the menu options are good, the long wait time makes it not worth it. I suggest arriving early and being prepared to wait a while for your food to be served.
Where do I start.. went in on a Saturday and waited 45 minutes to be seated, no biggie as they seemed a little busy. We ordered food and waited another 20-25 minutes and the food wasn?t that hot temperature wise. We were so hungry that we didn?t complain. What was interesting is the fact that I ordered the farmers choice breakfast and my companion ordered the breakfast sausage scramble. My breakfast was not good. The cheese I requested on my eggs didn?t even melt, like they forgot to put it on there after cooking it or something. Every piece of bacon was cooked differently and some were even undercooked. The potatoes had a cumin/taco seasoning type of taste and were just not good. My companions breakfast had only one tiny piece of uncooked bacon and had to request extra in order to add to the meal. The eggs also had an eggshell inside but we didn?t realize this until the end. For the price, this was definitely not worth it. Will not be returning..
Rooster Downtown has recently moved to a new location, which is brighter and more open than their previous storefront. The food, available for both breakfast and lunch, is consistently delicious. While the preparation seemed a bit rushed on my visit (I recommend spreading the Nutella evenly on the pancakes instead of just on top), everything still tasted great. Rooster is a bustling restaurant in downtown, so be sure to allow extra time during busy breakfast hours and weekends. The wait is definitely worth it.
Breakfast in St Louis. What a fun place with bright colors and beautiful decor. Loved the glassware and the water that came to the table in an old milk bottle. Lots of menu items with mixed flavors and options to make most vegan. I thought that there was a good variety to chose from and ultimately got a Sausage scramble and a crepe to share. The scramble was delicious! It was very flavorful and was the perfect mix of eggs, sausage and cheese. The crepe was just perfect, from flavor to texture. Prices were slightly high for breakfast but it was pretty much with it.
Awesome place! Good food, nice staff, and soooo pretty on the inside! We had a nice array of breakfast items to share! We had French toast, biscuits and gravy, and eggs, bacon, fried potatoes and toast. Everything was yummy, the potatoes were my fave?had a good spice on them! My only complaint was the toast?it wasn?t even toasted?looked like plain triangles of white bread. Wasn?t really interested in the toast anyway, so I let it slide. We did buy some cute glasses, just like the ones they serve you in! Would definitely eat here again if in the area!
