Place is ok. Food also is fine. But I feel that so much can be done. Had a long 30-40mins wait before we actually got our food. Chicken soup was good but thaali was just average.
I have mixed feelings about Asian Spice, and that is mainly because of a poorly concocted and over-priced mango lassi. Had they gotten it right they would have earned 4 stars from me. The place itself is decent and doesn't stray far from four-star luxury. I had a very faint feeling of discomfort but I suppose I was missing an extra 20-30cm of space. The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. She seemed upset when I reported that the mango Lassi was no good at all and even went to report the incident to the chef. Indeed, that Lassi was terribly thick and extremely, extremely sweet. I had only two or three sips before deciding that I didn't want to have any more of it. Rs 80 wasted. Their vegetarian briyani was pleasantly augmented with paneer and that literally saved them from what would have been a catastrophic review on my part. I might go back someday just for their veg briyani (priced at rs 175). Worth the visit, but beware of their sweet dishes/drinks.
Great food at a very reasonable price, lots of vegetarian options, and surprising dishes! I fully recommend it. Worth going even if you’re staying by the beach at Trou aux Biches. Live the experience, authentic Indian cuisine and outstanding service.
Space is under construction and the food was ok-ish
