Zz's Pizza - Staten Island

The regular slices here are truly the best. I've lived in New York my whole life, and nothing compares to these slices. They have a perfect crispiness, and the sauce is rich and flavorful in every bite. If you add some garlic and hot peppers, you've got a fantastic meal. Definitely give this place a try while you’re waiting for the ferry!

ZZ's exceeded our expectations for airport food. The pepperoni slice I ordered was reheated and enjoyed immediately, which I believe is key to its deliciousness. The pizza had the perfect balance of cheese, sauce, toppings, and a thin crust.

Not a bad spot for a quick meal. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming everyone and providing attentive service. While the food wasn't extraordinary, it was served hot and tasted great. I ordered the Philly cheese sandwich, which featured soft bread and just the right amount of gooey cheese, making it quite enjoyable. My wife really liked the pizza, but I think she spoiled it by asking for it to be well done, which turned it into what I perceived as a cracker topped with cheese.

Stopped here because we were starving after our ferry tours. This is more of a stop after a long day to drink and eat pizza before I head home kind of place. The quality of the food wasn 't fresh and when I think of New York Pizza I 'm looking for freshness. The pizza is already made and sits in the pans until a slice is selected then it 's placed in the oven to reheat. Is this how New York Pizza is? Because I 'm extremely disappointed by the quality of the pizza. There isn 't really anywhere to sit and they had trash bags sitting on the floor where guest can see them.

The pizza here is really good. But I wouldn't recommend the ziti. I had it before and it was so bad I had to throw it out. The music is a little loud here but it is like considered a bar. They do serve alcohol and people do come here just to drink. The staff is friendly. But the homeland security guy paraded his dog through the food area which was kind of creepy.. I don't like dogs around my food... That is just me. Anyways if you want a quick bite to eat at the Ferry it is probably one of the better and cheaper places with a 2 slice and soda special for $6.
