Sima Deli is the only spot left in Stockholm where you can enjoy Persian cuisine since other restaurants have changed or closed. The food here is delicious and unique, with a special touch from ingredients like fresh herbs, pomegranate, and dried limes. The staff is welcoming and attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable. However, some dishes seem to be microwaved and the vegan dessert is served in a plastic container. Also, vegans may have limited options for lunch and may have to pay extra for certain dishes. Despite these drawbacks, Sima Deli remains a top choice for Persian food in Stockholm due to its quality and lack of competition.
This restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere with a wide range of vegan and vegetarian dishes. Some of their specialties include Ghormehsabzi (mixed herb stew), Gheymeh (split pea stew), Ash (noodle soup with beans and herbs, can be made without dairy topping), Kashkbademjam (mashed roasted eggplant with fried onions, mint, and dairy topping), Kuku sabzi (herb pancake), and Sholehzard (saffron and rosewater rice pudding).
The restaurant serves lunch from 11:00 am, but opens earlier as a deli and breakfast spot. They consistently offer a vegan lunch option at a lower price than the meat-based dishes, which is great. I enjoyed a delicious chana lentil stew with rice and a side salad, all with well-balanced flavors and textures. Everything was excellent.
We really enjoyed our dinner here! Great food and service- feels like a family run place with those who enjoy sharing their food and culture with visitors.
