Not great news for us really as the menu is much smaller and a lot of our faves if not all have disappeared,it's quite a basic menu now. Both had starters, chicken with bbq. The starters are quite limited for those who aren't great with spice. The food was alright but nothing special portions appeared smaller than previously. Staff were fab can't fault them at all. Worth a visit for change of flavour but not as good as it once was imo.
Quite an ambient and warm looking place when you walk in. I found the prices are on the high side for an average serving of Mexican food. The portion sizes are on the small side for the price you pay. I think it would be better to use Meerkat Meals and get BOGOF.
The place and staff it's self are fine but the prices have clearly been changed to reflect the 2 for 1 mearkat deal. Sides are all excluded from mains now and even with almost £15 off with the mearkat deal £42 for 3 meals 1 side and 2 desserts isn't cheap
Nice eating, was to lunch with the family and an evening meal with my wife, and really enjoyed both. the personal is great, always smiling and sure that everything is in order with the meal. And it is the only place I know that serves 'old j's cherry around', which is with koks or pepsi (it really doesn't play any role) is an excellent drink!
I have always been fascinated with the attempt to locate new food from others and I am happy enough to say I have tasted dishes from some countries. it's strange to think that until juni this year I would never have tried a real Mexican taco. I know. what did I think? that changed when I went to chiquito. from an on-site selection of the restaurant, when the first was full - my new found love for Mexican food started here. the place has an excited and lively feeling for it - almost as if its atmosphere is dazzling steak on a hotplate. my friend ordered the drawn black enchilada while I ordered the loaded bark chocolate with acidic cream. Oh, wow it was good. I intend to order it 100.% again together with a new page when I think. the menu ranges from their tacos and enchiladas to their chimichangas and paellas along with some steak dishes for less adventurous esser. I have washed everything with a cold mojito myself, but take their selection of alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks. chiquito opens from 9 am to 11 pm the whole week except Sunday, where it closes only half an hour earlier. some things that I must say is the mojito was too bitter for me, so I would like to see a sweeter taste, and the heat when it is packed was a problem so that windows/doors might be opened to it out of the air. unbelievably I loved this place and will go back earlier, instead of later - perhaps even my new favourite restaurant found.
