Contribuisci feedbackI went to the restaurant to celebrate my birthday with my wife and two small children. I advised them that I was bringing two small children when I booked my reservation. When I entered the restaurant, again I advised the person sitting us that I had two small children. I saw no one complain about my children. When I was finished with my food the head waiter asked me to leave. I paid for my food wine and left. I was not able to drink my wine in peace. The food is ok, but the atmosphere and courtesy is lacking. Do not go with any children and please do not make any noise.
I'm not easily impressed with French restaurants just because they boast a continental cuisine and the older wait staff are expectedly snooty. L'Etoile doesn't miss a step when it comes to the food, even though the older wait staff is predictably haughty in their demeanor. From first course to last, the food is beautifully presented and delectable. We began with the Asparagus Vinaigrette crisp tender asparagus spears served on a bed of lightly marinated mixed vegetables consisting of cucumber, celery, red onion and carrot and sliced roma tomatoes. The vinaigrette was so flavorful without the overpowering sour taste of so many others. Our entrees were Beef Tenderloin and Veal Tenderloin. Both were so tender and cooked to perfection. The beef tenderloin was served with daupinoise potatoes and a wild mushroom cake. The veal came with wild mushrooms in what tasted like a Marsala sauce along with a tomato polenta cake. There were also baby French green beans, sauteed carrot slices and caramelized onion. Dessert was a trio of sorbet made in house. They were raspberry, pineapple and orange flavored served in a crisp cookie crust basket with red raspberry sauce. Light and flavorful. Everything was just incredible. The atmosphere is comfortable and the service is faultless except of course, for the expected haughtiness that comes from some of the older French staff.
