On a recent road trip we stayed overnight in Summersville WV and found La Carreta Mexican Restaurant and had a lovely affordable authentic meal! Can’t go wrong coming here if you like Mexican!

The food is very greasy. The meal I ordered was swimming in grease. I couldn't eat it! I complained and the guy just laughed!

I love this place! I could drink their salsa….seriously!

My wife and I ate dinner here in early August while we were staying one night at a nearby hotel. The food and service were excellent!! My wife had a fajitas platter, and I had tilapia with rice, beans, and salad. The fish was perfectly cooked, and everything was fresh and delicious, and the portions were generous. Also, even though it was close to closing time, all the staff were very welcoming and friendly. 5 stars for sure, and we’ll definitely eat here again, as we come through here once a year around this time.
