Mahek Lounge - Surrey

There are many Indian restaurants along Scott Street, but I believe that Mahek is one of the best places to sit down for a delicious Indian dinner. It is not a fancy lounge, but rather a family-run, authentic Indian restaurant with parking available. We had just finished a meeting at the bank, so we decided to have an early evening meal. We were pleasantly surprised by the cozy and relaxed ambiance of the restaurant. The only downside was that the tables were a bit too close to each other.

Our family was in the area and wanted to try something different and we read the reviews and decided to try. The taste is a bit different from what I know Indian food to be. Plus it is pricey for typical indian food. The service...was not up to par as well maybe because there were so many people.

Last weekend, we decided on some take out Indian food and my wife suggested this restaurant(which she had gone to earlier with her friend). Well, the meal we ordered was wonderful!!. The Butter Chicken and Naan Bread was something else!!! A great option to consider...if you want something entirely different.

We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future! We absolutely loved it! We have been to several Indian restaurants, and this one is the best by far. There is no pretense here, the delicious food speaks for itself!

It had been a few years since we last visited our favorite Indian restaurant, and we had a fantastic and superb Indian meal. The food was delicious, the staff were friendly, the atmosphere was peaceful, and it reminded us that we need to return soon. Overall, our dining experience was excellent, just like always.
