Himalaya - Surry Hills

We had ordered Chicken Biryani and some Indian Curries. The taste of curries was way below expectation. Not much resembling the Indian curries taste.The biryani was also too dry and tasteless. The ambience too is bit dark with sloppy service.

The appearance of the restaurant is a bit deceptive. The food is delicious and the staff were very helpful in pointing out vegan options on the menu. If you like Indian (or Pakistani) food then you should definitely try this restaurant.

Went with jay son, a pretty basic looking restaurant but really fantastic curries. I had the Lahore Lamb which was delicious, rich and packed with cardamons and bay leaves, I thought it’d be too much to eat with garlic naan and rice but in the...end I just wanted to eat more and more.

Had few choices to participate in silvester. celalayan was not disappointed. we ordered the Tandoori chicken, biryani and cheese naan, which made even more special at night.

Good part. eating is delicious. the place is a bit difficult to find. I think there's one area to improve the ambiente of the place. price is okay, but could be cheaper.
