All we wanted was a fruit salad and something to drink, but we had to go searching for wait staff to give us a menu, then to take our order, and finally to take our money at the end of it. It wasn't that they were short-staffed, either: at one stage we watched a waitress slowly, slowly, slowly wiping down a table in a largely empty restaurant just on the other side of a pane of glass from our table outside - but would she come out and take our order? No, she would not.The fruit, once it finally came, was very good and fresh. Eat here if you have plenty of time and no-where in particular to be.
Have had a couple of quick business lunches here. The cuisine is Italian bent but not that great. Given location and excellent service it's good for business.
4 dined for lunch, a work Christmas lunch, after being recommended it by a colleague. Thinking it might be busy, we pre-ordered and our food came out promptly which was great however it took a while to have our drink orders taken and when they arrived, the extra glasses were all left on the cramped table. The food was good, the small vegetarian antipasti is a generous size and my fellow diners enjoyed their Veal, Steak and Ragu and their Lemon Tart. I think I would go back for dinner during a less busy time in hope the service improves.
We came here for cocktails and dinner late friday night. It was not busy at all. The cheese and antipasto plates were lovely as was the arancini. They didn't have any ingredients for two of the cocktails on the list which we thought was odd for a bar. The cocktails we did have were lovely, however took over 20 mins to make. Had to chase wait staff twice to follow up on our drinks order and were given bill before the 2nd order of drinks came out. All up a really nice place but service could be better.
Terrible service and below average meals and cocktails. The night we went we were treated to a spectacle, two of the waiters were on a trial, one kept telling us this and subsequently was fired in the middle of the restaurant. Meals came out at different times...and that is if we were lucky enough to get the right meal in the first place. Steak that tasted so bad that we would have preferred to be nibbling on Bob Hope. $18 dollar cocktails that looked like they had collected wee from a homeless man, which we would have preferred as it would have had more flavour and volume. Not to mention these cocktails were only 2 / 3 of a champagne glass. Unless they contained leprechaun special sauce ( wasn't mentioned on the menu ) then we are still waiting for the rest of our drink. 300 bucks should equal a hell of a lot more
