Tokonoma Sydney

Haven't been since they moved. Assumed it closed down Nothing overly exiting for the price tag Staff friendly enough but forgot our starter and it wasn't busy Probably won't be back as there are cheaper and better options close by.

Hidden under the Bridge Room in Circular Quay, you’ll find Tokonoma behind an unassuming door. Walk through those doors and you’ll be pleasantly greeted with a minimalistic decor and sushi bar along the right hand side. Tokonoma relocated to Circular Quay from its original Surry Hills location earlier this year, and I have been keen on checking out its new home! Sister restaurant to Toko, which I actually visited the week prior to coming to Tokonoma, I knew the quality of the food would be good.

The place was a bit hard to find, but the decor looked great. eating wasn't the best I ever had, but it wasn't the worst. (probably fits more as above average). the fusion ideals for eating were an interesting experience, but not all have worked well at least in my opinion. I had the disarmament menu and thought the price was a bit expensive in relation to the small portion size, I wasn't blown away from the experience, but if the price was a little cheaper, I wouldn't see it again.

This place is very difficult to find, but after clogging along we finally found the entrance. the service was indifferent and the portions were quite small due to the price. the food tasted nice, but I'd hesitate before I come back here.

Came a few weeks ago to dinner with sat night. platz was not too busy, which was not too much for us waitstaff friendly and attentive. this place has a few usual Japanese dishes, but above all more modern fusion nothing really has formed for me and the portions seemed quite small for what it was. the part of the flesh cheeked bowl I tried was also stone cold why? some of the group was hungry after the meal overall an underwhelming experience and price a little too high.
