Broadway Cafe Arctic Island - Syracuse

I really needed that ice after walking the Rand Land Tract. I didn't even know it existed! It was a terrific hike and right in the City of Syracuse. Amazing.

This is my favorite place to get ice cream. They have a broad variety of flavors for soft serve (e.g., pistachio), unique types of hard ice cream (e.g., lavender) and interesting sounding flavors of arctic ice (e.g., passion fruit, strawberry guava). Beware, the soft serve melts quickly. So, if you get sprinkles, it 'll be a little hard to keep up with the speed of melting, because you 'll have all sorts of sprinkles in your mouth. My favorite is the classic vanilla chocolate twist. The vanilla has really good flavor. Most places vanilla just tastes unremarkable. Here, it 's really tastes of vanilla.

I go here often and I’ve rarely I’d ever had a problem. However today was the third time I’ve found a long blonde piece of hair in my ice cream. Definitely going to be taking a break from getting my ice cream here.

Cute little local ice-cream stand. Very tasty homemade hard ice-creams. They have Spanish peanuts, too! And that hardening chocolate syrup!

Revisited after several years and it did not disappoint! The pistachio strawberry twist is so good and you can't get it anywhere else! Love their ice cream.
