This restaurant failed to deliver on their service promise. They said it would take up to 20 minutes for the food to be served, but it took 45 minutes without any warning of the delay. The glasses had lipstick stains and there were crumbs on the table. They didn't bring water until after the meal, despite us asking for it multiple times. We canceled some dishes due to the delay, but they still served them and charged us for it. Overall, a disappointing experience.
I went to Tokyo Cafe for lunch, wanting something quick and standard. My food was served in 10 minutes, which was pretty average for the staff.
My business partner and I recently visited Tokyo Café at Venice Piazza and had a fantastic culinary experience. I tried the creamy ebiko pasta, their best seller, and it definitely lived up to its reputation. The caffe smoogee was decent, but I wish the portion size was a bit larger for the price. The strawberry parfaits were heavenly and I also indulged in a promo-maki roll, even though I'm not a fan of maki. The ambiance was relaxing with not too loud music, quick and accommodating wait staff. We will definitely be returning.
