The restaurant was clean, staff was nice and the food was prepared quickly. The owner was very nice an made sure to check with me before leaving to ask how was my experience.
We haven?t had much Jamaican food before trying this spot but really enjoyed the curry goat, jerk barbecue chicken, and rum cake. Both entrees were very delicious. The fries were a bit soggy but that can be overlooked given the flavor profile of everything else. There was a variety of selections for drinks with the Jamaican Kola Champagne as my favorite. Small interior, but well lit and appears that locals prefer to order take out instead of dining in. Would definitely
First time at this restaurant visiting from Miami. The best Jamaican food I?ve ever tried. I had the jerk bbq ribs and rice and peas as my main meal. The meat fell right off the bones, the mac cheese was delicious and the steamed cabbage was awesome. Anika our server was the sweetest, great customer service here. Next time you?re in Tampa, this restaurant is definitely worth a try and worth the wait.
Akeyah is such a pleasure. Pleasant and friendly staff. Great service with the food to match. My fiancé and I got the jerk pork, curry shrimp roti , white rice, vegetables, steamed cabbage, a beef patty, and Jamaican ginger pineapple soda to wash all down. So delicious. I definitely highly recommend! Go today! It?s worth it!
I give the food 5 stars but the portion for the price is ridiculous but the food was very amazing I can't take that from them Peace
