Melinda's Cafe and Takeaway - TARALGA

I stopped by for a quick snack and coffee. Enjoyed the coffee. The quiche was ok too, if a wee bit microwaved. The service was friendly and quick.

This hidden gem is a must-visit stop between Goulburn and Oberon. Coffee lovers will be delighted by the quality here. The food and service are also exceptional. During the winter months, the cozy seating area on the side is very warm and inviting.

Taralga is a half way stop for us on the way out to the central west city of Orange, we have had simple meals at Melindas in the past but this time we had a couple of egg lettuce and mayonnaise sandwiches and coffee. The bread was just baked that morning and we had to wait a few minutes for the country fresh eggs to be cooked but the short wait was well worth it. Absolutely great sandwiches came out of the kitchen we will certainly be back next time. The cafe has a large range of takeaway food but you can sit down to eat either in the adjoining room or on the outside pavement. Well done Melindas !!!

I have visited this restaurant a few times and have always enjoyed the excellent coffee and delicious food. The service is always great, with a smiling and friendly staff. It is a pleasure to stop by for a meal, whether passing through or for a lunch date.

I recently visited Melinda's Cafe in Taralga on September 14, 2014 for lunch and had a great experience. While there are a few pubs on the main street frequented by weekend bikers, I preferred the peaceful and quiet atmosphere at Melinda's Cafe. I enjoyed a well-cooked chicken schnitzel (burger style) and delicious coffee. The portion of chips was too large for me to finish, but the staff kindly provided me with a polystyrene container with a big smile. My meal was reasonably priced at AUD $17.00, and I was also pleased to find out that they offer free WiFi. The restroom was clean, but be cautious of the hot water in the hand basin as it is very hot. Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience at Melinda's Cafe.
